The International Japan Karate Association has now introduced specialised training courses for its Senior Instructors in Wheelchair Karate.

It is the intention of IJKA Ireland to promote a policy of inclusion towards all people wishing to practice martial art.

The development of the IWKF will not only allow people with physical disabilities to defend themselves but also be included in an International Martial Arts Organisation.. Karate is a life long study.
